Deck Your Ride With Decals

I’ve been having fun creating window decals.  A while back my mother purchased a wee bunny decal for me as a souvenir from a road trip she went on.  She owns a cockatiel and mentioned that she was sad because there were no bird stickers.  As a result I decided to make her one for Christmas.

Since then I made a few more, just to play around with the idea.  It seems to be working well, so I’m starting to offer them as a product.  If interested submit a photograph, and for $15 I’ll make you a 5×7 decal in the image of your choice.  Larger images may be ordered for varying prices on request.

Here’s some of the rabbits I made for fun:

118/365 I Can Fix Things!

In August I bought a car.  When I went to drive it at night, no lights came on in the interior.  I was sad.  Then months and months later, in March, someone tried to help me change the light bulbs.  Once they were installed I still had no lights, and guess what?  Nothing worked on my instrument panel.  Who needs to know how fast they’re driving anyway?

So as my life with cars goes, it’s now June and my mother and I were sick of my car situation.  So today we went to the junkyard and purchased an instrument panel and installed it ourselves.  Yesssssss!  I am a mechanic!  Guess what was wrong with the old panel?  This teeny little piece of metal was torn.  Go figure that something so small could cause so many problems….

Ok.  I know this is not an “outside” picture.  Does it count as a 365 if I had to go outside to fix my car?

60/365 Beauty is in the eye of the beholder

Downtown Buffalo can be really ugly sometimes.  There’s tons of people, hole in the wall shops, people begging for money.  But if you know where to look it can also be beautiful.  As I was taking this picture “M” looked at me and asked “Why are you taking pictures of a parking garage?” What can I say?  I liked it.

55/365 Stack ’em up

I spent a few hours out by the garage cleaning out my new car.  It’s washed, vacuumed and the interiors been dusted and windexed.  Cleaning all that takes a LONG time!  I noticed this stack of hubcaps while I was working.

43/365 Vroom Vroom

Vroom Vroom zoom Zoom!  Not really.  I was parked and I liked the way my light was shining on my steering wheel.  Plus I wasn’t prepared to leave my air conditioned car yet….  And Yep, I am still driving a VW.  Nope, my Volvo is not on the road yet.

The things I do for art…. I was really liking the image I posted yesterday of the canning jar. It’s actually a crazy cool creation that my mother had made. It’s a solar light, and there’s a bunch of them, and they glow blue, yellow, red or green at night. Since I photographed the daytime version of the jar yesterday, I wanted to photograph the nighttime version today.

While I was out there I noticed that the moon’s almost full and it looks wicked awesome. I went around the side of the house and busted out my tripod again to try to capture it. Unfortunately by the time I got my tripod and set it up a REALLY big cloud had covered it up. I would have waited it out, but I suffered approximately 20 mosquito bites while I was out there. I couldn’t stand it anymore, so here’s what I captured:

I just want to be one of the boys

This image was digitally created using Photoshop and a wacom.  My inspiration was the concept that girls that like to wear pink and dress pretty are allowed to dig cars too.  Oh yeah, and they can like robots!  Doesn’t everyone like robots? … and I might just have been listening to a little Katy Perry too….
