126/365 All Eyes On You

I love birch trees.  In the summer I especially enjoy lying on my back watching the leaves of a Silver Birch rustle in the wind.  I like the texture of the bark and the way it begins to peel off the tree after a few years. A birch’s bark also seems to form the most interesting patterns.  Like this one:

20/365 Mystery tree

I have no idea what kind of tree this is.  I know it’s not Silver Maple.  Silver Maples are my favorite tree EVER.  I love the way their leaves sparkle in the sunlight.  Even though it has white bark I don’t think it’s Birch either, I don’t think Birch have berries.  I could be wrong.  Whatever kind of tree it is, I liked it, so it became my subject for the day.  If you know what it is, please comment to fill me in, I’d appreciate it!
