Make a Splash

I’ve been working on a commissioned piece for a while, and it’s finally finished.  My favorite part is the “water” the fish is jumping out of.  It’s created from an envelope one of my friends wedding invitations came in.  I’m very happy that I saved it.

126/365 All Eyes On You

I love birch trees.  In the summer I especially enjoy lying on my back watching the leaves of a Silver Birch rustle in the wind.  I like the texture of the bark and the way it begins to peel off the tree after a few years. A birch’s bark also seems to form the most interesting patterns.  Like this one:

64/365 Have I mentioned that I love shiny things?

I think I’m part crow.  If it shines I go right for it.  Wave something shiny in front of me and I’ll become highly distracted.  Guaranteed.  When I entered the subway in the daylight all the shiny lights we not turned on yet.  Then the sun went down and as I emerged from below the earth, SHININESS was happening!  I was very excited about this discovery.
